• Commiphora Myrrha is a resinous tree native to the Arabian peninsula and to Africa. The gummy oleoresin exuded from injured bark  has been used traditionally to treat wounds, mouth ulcers, aches, fractures, stomach disorders, microbial infections, arthritis and inflammatory diseases.
• Dimethyl Sulfoxide (DMSO), a by-product of kraft pulping, is an effective pain killer, blocking nerve conduction fibres that produce pain. It reduces inflammation and swelling by reducing inflammatory chemicals. DMSO also acts as a penetration enhancer, increasing transmembrane penetration of other compounds which means that while working alongside Frankincense to ease joint pain, it will also increase the absorption rate of the Frankincense into the skin.
