Cosmos Healing's tranquility enema blend includes a potent combination of plants that will calm your central nervous system, reduce anxiety, improve sleep and boost your mood. Enema blends are absorbed directly into the bloodstream through the intestinal walls via an enema preparation. The oral consumption of herbs is less beneficial as some of the active compounds are destroyed or altered by the gastric juices before they are absorbed into the body.

Ingredients:

Hops - classified as a nervine, hops helps soothe the nervous system. Primarily a calming agent, hops may assist problems of restlessness, nervousness, or anxiety.
Mugwort - flavonoid plant compounds in mugwort have the effect of improving restlessness, reducing anxiety and boosting mood.
Passionflower - passionflower's anxiolytic effects are thought to be due to its impact on neurotransmitters, including GABA and dopamine. One study found that passionflower extract led to significant increases in dopamine levels.
Skullcap - two important flavonoids found in skullcap (baicalin and wogonin) are thought to be GABAergic, binding to the benzodiazepine site of the γ-aminobutyric (GABA) receptor, and thereby have a sedating and anxiolytic effect
Valerian - often referred to as "nature’s Valium", valerian contains valerenic acid and valerenol which act on GABA receptors in the body, calming the central nervous system, improving sleep and reducing anxiety.
