The history of elderberries (Sambucus nigra) is long and complex, dating back to ancient times. In 400 BC, Hippocrates, the ancient Greek physician known as the "father of medicine", called the elderberry his "medicine chest". He used it to treat a variety of ailments, including colds, flu, fever, and burns.
An oxymel is a tonic made from honey and vinegar, and sometimes herbs and fruits.
Cosmos Healing's Elderberry Oxymel combines raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar, fynbos honey and elderberries into a tasty immunity boosting combination.

Directions
- Enjoy a teaspoon daily as a preventive tonic
- Add it to salad dressings or mocktails for a flavourful, immunity boost
- Increase dose to 3 teaspoons when immunocompromised
Important Note
- Raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar contains the “Mother” culture. You’ may notice visible strands in your Elderberry Oxymel. These strands are known as the “Mother” of vinegar, and are naturally occuring in liquids undergoing fermentation. The "Mother" is a sign that your ACV is truly “alive”. The strands are normal and can be ignored.
